I was at a hotel last weekend, and instead of going to see Man of Steel, I stayed at home and found out about the movie Beverly Hills Cop! It's my new fav movie and I didn't have to go to an icky theatre to see it XD
I have to say that i`m not d` accord with you. A lot of things we are missing we don`t need, so you be pointless to make efforts to gain them. Thinking about what makes you special/ about what qualities you have can be very rewarding. You can do that better that others, do it with pleasure and gain from it. Drawing for example: thinking (and trying) to see if you have that quality, in other words, thinking if that makes you special, it is not useless, and I suppose I don`t have to prove that it is pointless In conclusion, you can search for what you have and give it to the ones that need it, and what you don`t have you can get as exchange for what you gave.
The thing is, no one is special. Everyone are the same. And this is why you do not need any self-esteem thoughts about yourself. Because when you look at what others have accomplished, you can see what you can accomplish, if you really want to. What you already have done is in the past and its irrelevant. It was then, now there is a new thing to strive for. When you meet someone, do not tell him what you have done and what you are. Show it instead, by doing something awesome in the future.
Self improving is a never ending process, because each time you improve and move upwards, you just move the bottom line to your location and you are back at the bottom. Then you can use this bottom line of neutrality as a middle point to judge others and to stay humble.
I agree with most of what you said. Whenever I meet someone new and we get to the subject "what can i do" I dislike saying what I did in my past, I just show them who I am by being me, and I like leaving my live with two things in my mind: never regret what I did, and constant improvement, just like you said. But no, no no one is special. It is true that we can become as good as someone else at something by training (and constant improvement) but that doesn`t mean we are all the same. Some of us need more time to train in something just to become as good as someone else, as that someone else can`t get as fast as us in doing something else, you give examples as you want. The idea is that everyone is better at some other things and worst at others, that`s way not everyone have the same job in the society or the same role in a group.
